서울 통의동 골목 안쪽에 위치한 기존 주택을 리모델링한 소규모 오피스로, 천정을 개방해 기존 목구조가 공간의 질서를 형성하는 주요 요소로 드러나도록 계획하였습니다. 내부에는 ‘집 안의 집’ 개념의 흰색 박스를 삽입해 기능과 프로그램을 명확히 구획하면서도 서로 다른 공간 감각이 중첩되도록 했다. 주방에서 이어지는 작은 마당은 밀도 높은 골목 환경 속에서 시각적 여유와 환기를 제공하며, 제한된 조건 속에서도 공간의 깊이를 확장하는 장치로 작동하기도 합니다.

Located within the narrow alleys of Tongui-dong, Seoul, this small office is a renovation of an existing house where the ceiling was opened to expose the original timber structure as a primary spatial framework. A white “house-within-a-house” volume was inserted to articulate programmatic boundaries while generating distinct spatial atmospheres within each zone. The small courtyard connected to the kitchen introduces light and visual breathing room, mitigating the density of the surrounding context and extending the perceived depth of the interior.
