기산동에 위치한 이 주택은 클라이언트와의 오랜 대화를 바탕으로 완성된 현대적 감성의 주거 프로젝트입니다. 외부는 솔리드한 콘크리트 매스로 감싸져 있지만, 내부로 들어서는 순간 땅과 하늘로 열린 시선이 펼쳐지며 예상과 다른 확장감을 만듭니다. 가장 특징적인 장치는 2층에 배치된 전통 한옥으로, 목구조 방식 그대로 시공된 한옥을 콘크리트 구조 위에 별도의 구조 접합을 통해 올려 서로 다른 시대의 구조가 한 집 안에서 공존하도록 했습니다. 부모와 자식 세대는 하나의 주택 안에서 연결되면서도, 중앙 중정을 통해 시선을 공유하고 각자의 생활은 독립적으로 유지하도록 계획했습니다.

Located in Gisan-dong, this house is a contemporary residence shaped through an extended dialogue with the client. While the exterior is defined by a solid concrete mass, the interior opens immediately to views of the ground and sky, creating a sense of spatial expansion beyond its enclosed form. The most distinctive element is a traditional hanok placed on the second floor—constructed entirely with timber and structurally joined to the modern concrete frame—allowing two architectural systems to coexist within a single house. Designed for both parents and children, the home connects the two households while maintaining independence, with a central courtyard mediating views and daily life.
